Main Street Tehachapi

New Logo Seeks New Purpose

Part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Main Street Tehachapi is an active non-profit focused on enriching the downtown district of Tehachapi while preserving the heritage. Often putting on great festivals to draw commerce to the 13-block radius it involves itself with, the organization is known for throwing great parties. But since they do much more than that, they felt it time to freshen up their outreach and identity efforts.

Recently, the city underwent a very in-depth analysis of their own branding, and organizations such as Main Street were encouraged to draw from both the findings and elements now in use. A careful review of the branding research indicated that the organization would be well served to incorporate "Mountains" into their efforts and the board felt they needed a slightly more vibrant look.

We used a more saturated color palette and drew new peaks with slightly more depth to represent the "high living" of this vibrant mountain community. We then fashioned a street sign element with details that would nod to the historic preservation efforts of Main Street Tehachapi and Voila!
